Through the duality of light and dark, I find balance in a dimension of my creative world. My designs are inspired by internal feelings of creative flow and are developed through different mind states, as I make art to create a feeling or I have a feeling that creates art. My work is centered around replicating certain feelings I have or it develops as a result that comes from the act of creating. Eyes are often in my art as drawing them unlocks a new wave of creativity for me and they symbolize an inner world or portal. I use ink to build movement through fine line detail, contrast, and negative space, striking a balance between intensity and minimalism. To me, everything revolves around balance, as it is how I create art in my life and myself in my art.
